VICTOR RESOURCES / EDITIONS

One platform. Community and Enterprise.

Victor Community delivers virtualization, availability, backup and automation for one site, without host or cluster caps. Victor Enterprise adds multi-site operations, migration workflows, advanced data protection and controls for regulated environments, under your signed entitlements.

02 / OPEN CORE, HONESTLY

Signed terms. Workload continuity.#

Enterprise activation is verified offline. The new opt-in Alpha format uses physical compute-host allowances, customer entitlements and site unlocks. Trial and paid terms carry explicit start, expiry and grace values.

License expiry does not stop running VMs or block sign-in. Enterprise writes and licensed operations follow the installed format and signed terms. Legacy socket-based Alpha licenses retain their original behavior until explicitly upgraded.

03 / WHICH ONE?

A quick way to decide.#

COMMUNITY

One site, getting started

A lab, a single-site estate, a technical evaluation or a small VMware exit of Linux VMs. Everything you need to run, protect and automate is there.

ENTERPRISE

Several sites or a large exit

Federation across sites, migration waves with Windows conversion, test boot and rollback, and vSphere bridge writes for existing automation.

ENTERPRISE

Regulated or high-assurance

CAC/PIV, fail-closed audit, the DoD preset, OSCAL and STIG exports, signed FIPS releases, and immutable, verified backups.

04 / A SEPARATE PRODUCT

Need an end-user cloud?#

Victor Cloud is an optional self-service portal and API over a Victor site. It is not part of Victor Enterprise. Victor Cloud Community is Apache-2.0 and available; a multi-site Victor Cloud Enterprise is planned.

Is there public pricing?

Not yet. The new Enterprise activation model is per physical managed compute host, with signed customer entitlements and site unlocks, including time-limited terms. It is opt-in on compatible Alpha builds; legacy installations retain their original license format until upgraded. Request terms for your estate. #

Can we start on Community and upgrade?

Yes. Enterprise is a separate server build, victord-ee, with the Enterprise module compiled in, over the same database and API. Plan the switch like any upgrade. #

Are there host or VM limits in Community?

No. Community has no host, cluster or VM caps. Its boundary is one site. #

ENTERPRISE ACTIVATION

Physical hosts. Signed terms. Offline activation.#

The new Alpha workflow combines a customer entitlement with a site unlock bound to the installation. Trials and longer terms use signed start, expiry and grace values. Legacy Alpha socket-based files remain in use until a coordinated upgrade explicitly activates the new format.
